GEN-Feature Examples for Culm.

These are two series that are feature articles in the news. Background to the current event is given and then a personal story is shared. The first one the most recent in a series about the earthquake in Haiti and how it affected on particular little girl. They update her story regularly.

This one is a link to a series about the horrible treatment of lower caste girls in India by the Globe and Mail. It ran on Saturdays for a few months and featured a series of women.

HSP-Theorist Presentation/Handout

Psychology Group Brochure: Childhood Development Theorists

Purpose: To teach the class about a childhood development theorist

Length: 8-10 minute presentation

Due Date: Thursday May 16

Assignment: You must produce a one page (double sided) brochure that highlights your topic. Make sure to use headings and bold font when appropriate and at least one image. It should be a three panel folded brochure. (2 panels can be introduction and back view with bibliography.

Marks: You will be marked on the presentation and the handout. Please see the rubric on the next post.

You must include: A bit about the theorist’s:

-life

-education

-important works

-experiments/studies

-contributions to psychology

-radical findings that differed from others’

-critics

You may use the text, but should also consult outside research.

You may choose from one of the following:
