LAW debate:You debate Tues/Wed.

We will be doing mini-debates next week. The debates will touch on some ideas we have looked at in class, but require research from you.

Each person must speak for one minute each.

First-you need to go home tonight and research.

Tomorrow-you must decide the key ideas your team wants to look at and then break up the major topics so that people aren't just repeating the same arguments.

There will be 6 people per debate/3 people per side. Please ensure that the first and last debaters give a brief introduction or conclusion.

I am fine if you have notes, but reading is not debating.I will go over debate style with you on Monday when you have all your research done.

The following are the resolutions up for debate. You can pick which one you care to debate.

Let it be resolved that the elderly should not have to die in prison.

Let it be resolved that we should lower the voting age to 16.
