Grade 12 Law Essay Assignment

You are to write an 5 paragraph essay in which you prove or refute the following statement:

Canada's jury system is a benefit to the justice system.

Writing: You must have a thesis and a minimum of three supporting sub-topics. It is expected that you follow proper essay format. I have a layout that you can use if needed. Each paragraph must be at least 6 sentences in length. You must use legal terminology as much as possible.

Research: The essay must be well-researched (you can use some articles from class to start you off) and must include a bibliography of over 4 works.  Please use MLA format. (use the Seneca Libraries website to help you with this.)You must use sources that are current and scholarly. You must also reference your experience watching a jury trial.

 Due date is March 24 by the end of class.

  1. Oh! I remember I use to make many mistakes in essay writing during my Bar Exam Prep, but I got perfect because I practiced a lot for this section. I scored really well in my exam and now I am deciding which school to opt for.
